Buried Leads

Book 2 of the Nichelle Clarke Crime Thriller Series

A young female reporter uncovers a dark web of corruption--one so big the conspirators will do anything to keep it a secret.

When an Armani-clad body turns up in a shallow forest grave, Nichelle Clarke is the first reporter on the scene. She soon discovers the victim is a tobacco lobbyist with powerful connections.

Local politicians are pushing for a quick arrest.

Nichelle thinks they seem nervous. Even more so after a second victim is found dead.

Nichelle's search for the killer soon uncovers a jaw-dropping trail of malfeasance and debauchery that stretches all the way to Washington, D.C. It's the kind of story that can make a crime reporter's career.

But the power players at the center of this conspiracy have everything to lose, and as Nichelle's quest for the truth nears its end, she lands squarely in the crosshairs of the killer. Can her wits alone can get her out alive, or will these secrets stay buried for good?

Reader Reviews

They are well-written, and keep you on the edge of your seat. They provide interesting incite into the newspaper industry, and the competition with other news agencies, in addition the relationships are fun, and sometimes volatile. I am a LynDee Walker fan.

I loved the first book Front Page Fatality, but BURIED LEADS is my favorite in the series so far. Walker does a great job of inching up the tension until you really can't put down her books. I can't wait for the next one!

I really enjoyed reading this series by LynDee Walker. The crime reporter/heroine of the story is funny and engaging and you find yourself becoming invested in the mysteries surrounding the stories that she reports for the paper.

There's no sophomore slump when LynDee presents her second narrative featuring Nichelle Clarke. Immediately pulled into this fast-paced and action-filled drama, this well-written plot held me captive from beginning to end. The author did a good job in giving us plenty of twists and turns.

The characters are real and the mystery here was very complex. All in all, a very enjoyable read, and I will be looking forward to the next in the series. Thanks LynDee Walker! Keep going, and give us more!!

I loved it every bit as much as I did the first one. It was fun following the further adventures of Nichelle and her heels. This was a fast passed mystery that kept me intrigued to the final pages and certainly kept me guessing.
