Trust Me, by Hank Phillipi Ryan
Full disclosure, Hank is sort of my personal hero, a tough investigative reporter who writes wonderful novels and is almost superhumanly kind and helpful to the rest of the writing community. All that said, I would love this book even if I didn’t love her so much. It has the best tagline I’ve seen in years: There are three sides to every story. Yours, mine, and the truth. And it alternates viewpoints between a journalist working on a true crime novel and the woman accused of the crime. Which one is lying? See if you can figure it out.
